naa,..I dunno, It disappeared as I was getting done looking at it.
just do a search on your favorite auction site and it should come right up.;)

  5. So what's the deal, that '63 is a real SD car? Who figured that out? Not a scam?

The guy listed it for his bro-in-law and after he listed it people on e-bay ID'ed it as being one of the 6 actual aluminum front end factory drag cars and bidding shot up over $56,000. Two people have said they know where the original engine and aluminum parts are too.

Yes the car was on topic, but I think it went poof because it had a direct Ebay link to an auction that is still running. Currently at $57,100 with 3 days plus to go.

  9. yep... bidding started at five bills... no reserve from what i've seen...

this one will end up being in the hands of some judge... car was siezed and ownership claimed for back rent?

the dude hasn't said if there's a title yet as far as i know... drama to follow

this one will end up like the Phil Spector Cobra CSX2287 http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/video_player.shtml?vid=519722

it's a cool car... and a Detroit time capsule

If you look at the auction questions, the seller states that it has a current Michigan title in his brother in laws name.

yep. and that whole 9/10 of the law. Probably acquired it legally too. At least it's going to get some tlc.

You can see in the old pics where the champion sticker residue is still on the rear 1/4 panel! and the bumper in the old pic has the same dent in the corner as the photo in the auction...this is way cool.

    Cheers and beers

  12. Saw this rare Pontiac in Salinas. Notice the homemade fins, blown BB between the fender wells.

I just came in and wanted to read more about it, I posted on the thread, so i went to recent post and there was nothin.

readin the description, i guess the actual front clip is in florida, is what he is sayin. Good thing the economy took a dump, he said he would of scrapped it but the price of scrap dropped.

got all excited about the SD comments in this thread UNTIL i SAW who the vendor was! been WATCHING this vendor for sometime, EVEN called their business for 'more info as i was bidding', i was not impressed with their answers to my questions. quit L@@KING at their 'goods',and BIDDING after some comments about their 'ethics', showed up on the H.A.M.B.

COULD NOT TELL FROM THE ENGINE PICTURE---BUT DOES THIS CAR HAVE THE DAYTONA CAST IRON HEADERS?
the mopar people have galen govier, the pontiac people have a 'cubby' feller who they use
to authenticate 'things pontiac'. wonder what his comments would be?

    thanx red ryder

Bet it ends up in Portland MI at Super Car Specialties for a concourse Restoration! I was visiting when Scott was working on the White SD Tempest wagon, got to pick you an NOS aluminum hood, it was as light as a 30 pack of empties. The HD 4 Speed Trans Axle was one of the oddest things Ive ever seen.
