Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do about the exhaust issue I have? The manifolds I have wont fit because they hit the a arm. I have tried different manifolds including the ram horns and they wont work. Put on some nova headers and they just about worked except the rear of the headers on the driver's side hit the steering column. Other than having someone make some custom headers, does anyone know of any headers that might work. I heard that I could run the headers backwards but I havent attempted yet. Oh, and just to get the drivers side header on I had to pull 3 spark plugs to get it to fit..... Is that normal???

Im not sure if they will work on your olds, but the ones I run on my 54 chevy with a 350 are some sanderson blockhugger headers. Pretty tight fit but they work. Worth checking out

no not right now. If there were some headers that roll straight back they would work. The problem is the headers I have now dump where I need them to except they pipes come together 2x2. It is hard to explain. The part where the pipes come together are to thick and is hitting the steering column. If there were some headers that are thinner they wold work. I will try to get pics but My camera is taking a crap and doesnt work all the time.

i had to pull my starter, some plugs, wires, all sorts of crap to get mine on, and they were made for my model car. and the exhaust dont care which way it goes, some flatheads went out the front and around under the crossmember and crap.
