Sorry there champ didn't mean to offend. I have no doubt of your VAST knowledge ..you know like not knowing Jack Calori had a roadster that was as famous and *****in as his 36 if not just as impressive.

Once again my sincerest apologies. Seriously.... 3800 plus posts and you didn't know he had a car like this ???
    I'm sorry my bad.

Love the plates on the outside of the framerails. To some that might not get it , it hides the beautiful swoop of the 32 rail, but when doing a replica.... it's just fricking righteous ..Super nice job.

What did you use for the club plaque holder / aerodynamic add on in the front .
There were a lot of cars in that time that used this. Art Tremaine's car from the Glendale Strokers had this too which might be a look I am going to replicate on my a v8.

    Once again super nice.

    MMMM black lacquer.....

Love that air pump on the dash with the guage alongside of it.

Had one of those on my 32 phaeton way back them. No trouble with fuel pumps with that thing.

some people had the same type of set up with the fuel pump pumping air into the tank after it was running.

Or you could use a oxygen tank in the turtle deck to have air for the gas tank!

Billy, Very beautiful, think about contacting Dennis Lacy about the Pasadena Roadster Reliability Run next May, your roadster would be a welcome addition. The FOGGER

Anyway, Jack was a lakes racer ... and originally bought the '36 to tow his ’29 hi-boy to the lakes ... HELLMET's car is a recreation of the Jack Calori lakes roadster.[/QUOTE]

Never seen this Coupe Before - Looks like it could be The Pierson Brothers 36' Coupes Evil Twin.

The Calori roadster is one of the best and prettiest hot rods ever built. Now to be able to see it again is unbelievable. I've got to see this in person and listen to the music from those pipes!! Billy you've done a great job preserving part of the history of hot rodding. Thank You!

Billy, Great work! I have a lot of respect for guys that can build a dead on replica, AND be happy to state that it is not the original car. Two questions, is the original still out there somewere, and how do the three exhaust posts in the block merge into the two exhaust pipes? Thanks for the updates & photos.

I'm not like most guys...do you want a car or motor cycle? If you want to build a unique rod then do it but don't jack with the basics...the car started out awesome as is.
