Silicone brake fluid DOT 5 should only be used on vehicles whose seals are compatible. Rubber seals get eroded and without warning - pedal to the floor and you loose your brakes - it happened to me and I nearly took out the NSRA Safety Tent. Heed the warning on the can, from the brake manufacturers and from all major vehicle manufacturers. There is no good reason to use it on street driven vehicles.

Flathead Pete, Jdubbya and I unloaded a Bridgeport that I picked up today. Sunday will be the day to wire up the 3 phase rotory converter so I can start it up and listen to it hum. I also broke down a 28-29' Model A cowl for the gas tank and firewall that I'll be using on the next project.

Kev(Hotrodvon) and I (TV) put the race engine and trans back in our 27 modified and worked all day hooking up all the little things, getting ready to race it next week end at El Murage. We had thrown the flywheel at Bonneville this year and had to weld the flange and all of that stuff. We didn't do the welding or macineing or the short block. But we still did alot of the work. The car itself is showing some wear from El Marage runs and our trip to Bonneville. After next week end we will take it down for some body repair and paint clean up, so as to be ready for next years start. I'm sure most of you have sean it, so I won't post any pictures. But I will tell you racing sure cuts into your hotrod time and fun, my 32-5 wind. with it's Riley has been waiting for it's turn as well as a trans for Kev's 32 roadster for most of this season---But we are having funnnnn.--TV

  6. Well I pulled my 276 Hemi apart, at least the heads, intake, and valley pan. It has quite a bit of sludge as it only had a blow tube. Its got .008 taper on the bores but......everything else looked good. Never bothered cleaning out my garage first as I'm impatient .!!! So now I've got a hell of a mess!!!!!

I'm tearing out an 8X8 storage room out of my garage so I can have a bit more room, almost done. The problem is that the stuff that was stored in there has to find a new home.

..........back up on jack-stands to install new 650x20s on the rear and tweak the suspension so they'll fit good in the rear fenders. Those in the pic are 500s.

went to U-pull-it to score a pair of proper dist cap clips to attach my 42-44 crab cap to my old 59-AB style distributor. I searched under the hoods for distributor clips but everything had screw-on caps...damn! I ended up finding my clips on late model air cleaners....who knew? I grabbed about 6 different styles and also found some from an old '79 Porsche 924 distributor lying in the back seat. Ended up using them.
The **** we use to get our stuff going.....the porsche also surendered up a nice quartz VDO 2" clock that matches my stewart warner gauges....cost 2 bucks and keeps perfect time.

I sold one of my mavericks that I was using for parts, helped my uncle clean up his farm, and I bought a 75 Ford elite that has a good 351w for $60 from him. I am slowly collecting parts for a T bucket project I want to build

Stripped and painted my 36 Plymouth engine this past weekend, after spending a couple of weekends struggling with a front motor mount replacement (not quite stock). I will post a pic of how the engine came out when it is done:

If by "garage", you mean tent, I be cutting out the transmission brace in my coupe, and prepping the frame for the new(next) one. Man, I wish the plasma cutter fairy would leave one under my pillow!

finally figured out whre I want to mount the radio, custom box under the p***enger seat, figured out where to run the extra fuse box, going to run a bunch more wiring, and hooking the blower to the heater box. that silicone aircraft hose is a ****** to make tight bends in.
