Temp 48 degrees, check, Oil on full, check (still haven't replaced the rear main), Leather jacket, scarf, gloves and spiffy hat, check, Time to hit the road for Kingfisher Oklahoma. Blues skies and brisk temps made the trip a joy. Cruised the 40 miles or so to the show and got to see some rides I don't think I have seen before. Small show, I was number 100 and I think a few came in after me. Anyway, a nice way to spend the day so I figured I would share a few shots from the show. Lots of muscle cars and bubbletop Chevies but a few rides that I thought you might enjoy. I have always liked the 55/56 "basket handled" Crown Vics and the red and white one was nice. Who doesn't like a 64 Chevelle all looking like new. The '58 Stude tudor wagon with the drawer pull grill was neat, as was the "barn fresh" '51 Chevy HT with the warmed over inliner. I'm kinda a sucker for tri five birds as well, this was a nice example. The '39 coupe was obviously built when street rods ruled the earth but loose the stupid mirrors and the molded in third brake light and I would drive the heck out of that thing. BMW Isetta 300, whats not to like, and all the rest... Got to hang out with some friends and enjoy the cars and weather, and the open road. Hope you enjoyed looking. GV
Thanks for the post. Some neat cars. I'm like you, lose the third brake light and drive the snot out of it. Later, Dick
We had that show on the list to do, we just didn't make it, as a kid I used to make the harvest every year and start out in Kingfisher, well maybe next year if you remind me GV "Doc" Parsons
