Military Veterans of the HAMB..... I know this is a day early, but I wanted to send this before November 11th so all the HAMB Veterans see it before Veteran's Day. Thank you for giving me and my fellow Americans the freedom we enjoy everyday. Without your sacrifices we wouldn't have the greatest country in the world !! And if you are reading this and aren't a Veteran but have a father, mother, son, daughter, any relative, friend, neighbor, etc. remember to thank them. ( While your at it thank them for me too !! ) Hugs and hand shakes to you all and from the bottom of my heart " THANK YOU " Sincerely, Kim
Amen...thank you all...my twin boys are out of school today and tomorrow and they are at my shop and we are watching all 12 parts (today and tomorrow) of BAND OF BROTHERS...we owe every one of you a huge debt of gratitude...God Bless You and your fallen brothers and sisters
This veteran would like to remind everyone not to forget other countries represented on this site such as Canada, England, Australia and I'm sure more, that also have Veterans/Remembrance Day on 11/11.
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU !!!! without your support it would be a much tougher job !!! 30 years and counting, Msgt. Dad USAFR
this vet wants everybody to just remember that we still have our brothers and sisters in harms way today and to say a prayer for them too... i'm proud to be an AMERICAN!!!! SSGT ARMY PO1 SEABEES
As we (veterans) get older, it really does seem somehow more important to hear folks voice appreciation but not necessarily for those of us who made it home, rather to those who will forever be 19 or 20 years old. And, if you know any WWII vets please take time to talk with them as well as family members of the fallen. Army Ranger 1969-1980 .
Thank you. Australian Army, Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, Special Air Service Regiment. 1992-2006, I saw active service, Rwanda. Somalia. Cambodia. Solomon Is. Sierra Leone. Iraq. Afghanistan. To all my mates who didn't go home, and to all they who gave the supreme sacrifice.
Good on you Kutlass for bringing it up. I was watching a show on the Medal of Honor last night. I actually started weeping towards the end. We ask too much of our guys and gals, and yet they give it. Anyhoo, Im with everybody else. Thanks. My kids will reap the rewards of your sacrifices. Cheers and beers Hodge
Thinking about the sacrifice made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today is humbling. That's what this day is about. I am very thankful. Semper Fidelis Sgt USMC 82-86
Thank you for those who have served I am proud to call you all Brothers and Sisters! and to those who haven't thank you for your support. As for those no longer with us may you Rest In Peace. "Only the Dead Have Seen the End of War"- Plato Cpl Stroker USMC 2004- Iraq Veteran 2004-2005 & 2007-2008
Well said Doc. As usual, I had my one minute's silence today...at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Thank you to all countrie's service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and were cut down in the prime of their lives. Thank you to those who returned and who were never the same again. Thank you to those who endured hardship, suffering, torture, pain, disrespect, those who were neglected and to those who felt forgotten. LET THEM KNOW THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN...... To those that never came home, never got to marry, never had a family, children or grandchildren, never got to build or enjoy hot rods, never got to make their mark in the world, or never got the chance to do the things we almost take for granted these days....THANK YOU ! WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. Rat
You're welcome, though I must say, it scares me a little to see what my country is becoming. Many of our freedoms have been abused so badly, that I sometimes think the very thing we all served to protect may one day destroy us. Freedom, truth and justice, must reside as one, for any to survive. sorry for the rant, and thanks to all my fellow Vets
Thank you for taking the time to remember also remember the Vietnam vets that were treated so badly for doing there job. I do not think about my time there even my wife knows nothing about what Nam was like. I put it out of my mind cept fot Vets day. My son in law is in the mid east now fighting for his country GOD SPEED
Your welcome .......and Thank You. Never Forget.. Cavman, Door gunner, 1st Air Cav, Northern I Corps. RVN. '67-'68
Wow! I could have written this post exactly other than a different in-law. 7 years ago I went to a Veterans Day breakfast and it was the first time that someone thanked me for my service. Really pathetic how a bunch of kids became the country's scapegoats. And not just Americans I've also come to understand how Aussie vets were treated even worse. I'll be meeting with a good friend tomorrow for pie and we'll do as always on this day, remember........ No hard feelings anymore just have trouble understanding the whole mess.
I served with pride in the Storm 92-95 USN H3-Aircrew, you and all the free are welcome. Remember freedom is never free, some pay with their lives.
Although i'm not a Veteran (yet) i appreciate the well wishes and my heart goes out to all my brothers and sisters that paid for our freedom with their lives. i've been in OIF, OEF... (the list goes on) and spent too many damn nights on the sea, 2 long ass cruises and just lost my wife this last time....but i'm still plugging away in the navy and i'll be reenlisting for the second time come february. thanks, AM2(AW) Josh Beiter, USN FEB, 2001-Present....
