Well, sports fans, the 2008 edition of Harry Fleming's *Pumpkin Run* came off today even though it was threatening all morning to rain......it held off pretty well until about noon when it started raining hard and a lot of folks started to head for the hills......one problem......gridlock trying to get out of the junkyard!

Guess that's to be expected .....but it was a fun event and the turnout was quite good considering the weather forecast.......

This is a fun event and it is totally open to any kind of interesting vehicle.....street rods, hot rods, trucks, customs, Vettes, muscle cars, and all manner of vehicles that fall between these categories......

Some HAMBers in attendance today were MRAK, all the way from North Jersey in his killer Model A tudor, Automotive Stud and his dad, the Kingfish, my pal Stache, good friend dragwillys, and had a great meet with Officer Falfa.....thank you for coming over to *Gow Central* and introducing yourself......can't forget Hot Rod Scott, the DJ and world traveler.......

So....here we go with some pics I did today.....hope you enjoy them...

Cool pics Bruce, great to finally meet up. Sucks about the weather, we had a very "wet" ride home on our bikes! I still don't think I've dried out yet!

Oh yeah, the gridlock in the mud was terrible!

I think your camera is broken from all the rain it took on. Nice pics, shitty weather.

Enjoyed the "artsey fartsey" pic's. Looks like a great time as usual...even with the rain.

  11. Brucie,

Great pics! I had a great time though the drive home felt epic. Rained the whole way. My pop worked great as a windshield wiper and defroster! Though all his hard work just fogged up the windows again.

    Thanks again!

Really great to have seen you, MRAK........and meeting your Dad was very cool..... even though it turned out to be a rainout, I hope you enjoyed seeing the old gas station, the stock car museum, and the whole *Junkyard Thing*......a shame they didn't call it off and go for today's rain date as it is a gorgeous sunny Atumn day here today........oh well......

Thank you for making the trek.....you deserve a lot of credit....

  16. Well I wouldn't have been there if it weren't for you. Great to see you too, it was definetly worth the trip. That place is very cool and I can't wit to get down there to see you soon.

Yeah you know it always figures, that the 'rain date' is beautiful and the actual date sucks! We had a great sunny day up here in this area. Wish the two had been reversed, but since when can a weatherman predict the weather!

Talk to you soon. - MRAK

CruzinBrucie all i have to say to you is THANKS for telling me in advance that I would not be disappointed in this show! Rain and all We had a Blast! What a great show! I am so glad we went and will return for sure. We had a rough start as we had plans to take the 66 Chevy wagon up for this one (plans were to leave 3am from VA) dinner time the 66 caught fire spoiling our plans temporarily. After getting somewhat over the fact we had serious damage to the 66 got the fire out, towed it to the shop, went home and gathered up our spirit climbed in the 64 GTO and headed oout anyway ... we'd deal with the 66 when we got back!
I looked for you Bruce but did not see you ... likely because I was shooting pics like crazy before everyone bailed cos of the rain. GREAT SHOW !!!
I understand there is another in May .... do you happend to know when in May ???
