I'll be at GG's Friday / Saturday and at ElPolacko's gig on Saturday night. I'm not sure which machine I'll be driving.

Sunday I'll be racing in the nostalgia drags at Speed World, either in my 413 powered '64 Dodge (formerly "Hambchargers 2" car) or my '57 Chevy gasser ("Thumper"). Sunday is usually kind of a snooze at GG's anyway, so you might want to check out the drags.

Anyone know what time we can get into set up at the swap meet Friday ??

 

Yeah, I have been putting it off. When I went to Dicks, they said they need to rebuild my speedo cluster as it is frozen..then I have to bring my car back so they can make me a cable.

I was quoted north of $150 for the speedo rebuild and whatever more it would take to get my cable made, tires/speedo synched etc.. Plus they only are open on the weekdays...etc...

I know I have to do it, I just never had the incentive until now, since the electronic and unforgiving eye is making the choice instead of a live patrol officer.

 

When does pre-reg end? Does it save you any money to pre-reg?

I'll be there on Friday, hopefully scoring some parts to finish up the car.

 

I'm going to be busting my ass to try and get the Edsel there. I'm not sure enough to where I did NOT preregister. I've still got to finish rebuilding the 94's, get them plumbed and linked, then I haven't even fired the rebuilt engine. Still needs the distributer dropped in, and wired up. Need to fix a brake leak and bleed that. I broke down and ordered an aluminum radiator I need to mount this weekend. I figured I could mess around with old radiators and "hope" they work after spending a few hundred, or I can buy a new aluminum unit for $180 that'll work with no issues. I'll paint it black. I also need to try and get the shifter working (electric Teletouch). Holy hell... gonna be a fun 1.5 weeks!!!

 

Most of the az sinner guys are skipping the GG this year and headed to Yuma for the Ghouls show. It's hard to imagine a GG without Jerry roaming the swapmeet huh?

Not trying to hijack, but the ghouls really know how to party if anyone is interested in rolling to Yuma Saturday AM; PM me.

Booze, food, bands all for a 10 donation! What can you get at GG for 10 bucks... besides salmonella?

Well, because of the difference in dates you may see an increase in attendance over last year. I know I would like to make it for the first time since you guys started it but because it conflicted with Goodguys, I never had the time.

I'm bustin my ass, but I think I'll make it in the Edsel. Hope to fire it up and break the cam in today. I was delayed a bit though. I wanted to fire it up last night, I pulled the distributer to prime the oil pump. Get the tool in there and it wouldn't spin! Not with a drill, nor with channel locks!!!! So I yanked the pan off, pulled the oil pump apart, and my fresh engine has used oil pump!!!!!! So I run to Autozone and get the M-57HV. I got it buttoned up about midnight. So I guess I'll probably have the car only running off the center Holley for the event. I've got to bleed the brakes, and figure out the shifter also. Gonna be a long week, but I'm going to try my hardest.
