It's nice and all but, the tank has to go. Gotta put on a ol frisco bobber style to really fit the rest of the ride!

Like the tank and gas cap. Dont like the seat or the forks. And the Pabst thing is played out [IMG]

  6. nice scoot, but a sticker on the tank? He should have done up the bike PBR style, with a tin beer cooler saddle bag and real beer tap for shifter knob.
Is that an H-Bomb rear fender fron Jireh cycles? the tech sheet say WCC but really? I like that rear fender. o yeah and you guy wondering why the rear pip is black, he probably didn't seal his exhaust wrap.

The cool thing is that the tank is actually a mini keg. The gas is in an old Eelco aluminum tank mounted under his shirt on his belt. Wait til you see the nazi lid with the two pabst cans with crazy straws strapped to the sides for when he rolls through states with helmet laws...BAD ASS!

I thought the same thing. I like the stylings of the bike, minus a few of the trinkets. Once word of this gets out OCC will be building their Silver Bullit theme bike, made out of all aluminum, alcohol injected, with Coors mountain logo's engraved into the wheels. Oooh, I can see it now!
Actually, hasn't someone already built a Silver bullit bike?

Yep. Minor changes could make for a cool bike to me. Not my bike though.

He's compensating for something with that gas cap... probably that he doesn't have a crocheted beer can hat to go with it. [IMG]

The bars look like he stole them off his little girl's stingray. All it needs is the tassels sticking out the grip ends. I guess the PBR sticker and flat black paint makes it a traditional hotrod. Still, He's riding it and seems to be enjoying it. That's better than what I've got lately.

I liked the "Scrub Barbie" bike better.

  18. Hmmm...I don't want to bash on the bike too much. He built it and it's his thing, so if he likes it that's cool.

Ah fuck it. I'm bashing the thing. Here it goes:

This is an example of all of the wrong shit coming together to make a large pile of wrongness. Wrong forks (too much rake). Wrong motor for sure. EVO? Ugh! 6 gun stuff on this bike: Wrong era altogether. Moon tank and peddles: Double wrong. Knock-off gas cap: Wrong-a-roo Scooby Doo! And billet? Billet has no place on this bike.

Again, if he likes it that's cool. But man, this thing is a fucking cluttered train wreck. You're eye is drawn to all the little bolt on stupidness, not to the overall bike. This is THEE biggest mistake a builder can make, in my opinion.

Damn, it's just so wrong...but it could be very right in his eyes...

For an example of what a clean and well thought out bike looks like, see pic.

I agree with a few points.
yes, I think there's a bit too much rake for a bobber with apehangers. I also agree that it shouldn't have been an EVO....a shovelhead would've been much better....even a pan would do.
I didn't like the Halibrand knock-off gas cap...it's a bit too over the top for a gas cap....but maybe that's what he was going for.
I also think the six-gun jockey shift is a bit passe. If I were going to make it a PBR bobber..then I probably would've just had a PBR can on a tank-shifter. The six-gun stuff is a bit too Choppers Inc/WCC-ish.

Other than that....not a bad bike overall. Sure there's changes I would do...but that's why it's his bike and not mine.

  21. looks like the bottom of my toilet bowl...Corny

  22. I agree. I like em' too...just not on that bike.

Sorry Rob...that one sucks....it's what I call a "Kmart Kustom".......just a bunch of bolt on stuff.

I just finished this one today....I've owned around 15 harleys and I really don't care for the sound of the new ones and that alone will keeep me from owning one. If cast aluminum is what you like, might as well do one of these....cheaper and also without soul [IMG]

    I miss the things that made harleys special...cast iron cylinders...tin primarys....TWO chains....leaks...vibrations...mystique....personality...soul.....

  25. Moon peddles: There's a cat who works for Lucky's Choppers up here in Seattle that is running them on a bobber he built. I've seen others too.

I guess I saw hte pedals on the Horse board at one time. I've been to so many sites it's hard to keep track.

  27. A few people on the board here kicked me in the butt for installing a "gay add on"... They were right...

Actually I've always been into the minimalist approach on vehicles. I was trying something out and didn't figure out immediately that it looked shitty.

I like this bike that Tony Bones posted way better then the one at the top of the post.

aw, yeeeuh, Viva la "scrub barbie!"

I never had the balls to paint it pink, I flat blacked it, polished up the chrome real nice, and sold it to an old lady... who dropped it.

Wow, in retrospect, that was one fucking slowwww bike...

Not that I am any kind of expert or anything but I have been surrounded by biker culture for more than 25 years. My dad used to let me read his Easyriders when I was only 7 years old. And I have been to more rallys than I can count.

I have seen a lot of this gimmicky stuff around lately (past 5 years - I guess)and it was kinda neat once and only on a handful of bikes. Problem is, it's a new gimmick every day and noone wants to just build a fuckin' bike.

Tires get fatter and fatter, bikes get over stretched and over raked, and now you have to have some kind of running theme.....sheesh!!

It used to be about riding, now rallys are more or less park-fests (I refuse to poke fun at Goodguys - but NSRA comes to mind). The only thing missing at a modern "rally" is a lawn chair.....

Caffeine you are lucky. You built your bike in such a manner that it can be appreciated in the future as just that - a bike. The more you ride it and the more wear you put on it the cooler it will get. I can tell why you posted this bike, it's silohette is nice and all the parts are there to make a good ride. It's down-fall is that it has every cliche/fad part know to man for this particular time period. You might like it now, but in five years it'll be a joke - that's when you realize you bike is cooler than this...
