We are building a 33 roadster at the shop, and I was wondering if anyone had pictures or knows of how the cowl welting goes? Does it go underneath the rear hood mount, does it stop before it? Help!! Thanks Jimmy White
Hey Jimmy, it appears to stop right in the middle of the bump/blister above the hole where the rear hood latch goes on the 1934. 1933 may be different due to single hood latch. Check out p.88 bottom picture of 'The V8 Affair'. If you don't have it go look at it in C.W. Moss. I am sure Derek or Pete would be happy to help. Or call Bill at All Ford Parts in San Dimas - they have a 1933 and a 1934 3W coupe in the store or visit Ray in Pomona who has an amazing collection of 1932-1936 Fords and has both 1933 and 1934 roadsters. PM me if you need phone numbers.
Thanks for the help!! I was going to stop by C.W. Moss This Morning, To see if they had any literature. thanks Jimmy White
jimmy, ive got a 33-34 book written by the early ford club which covers all that stuff... if you dont get the info you need or.. need more info... let me know and i can scan as necessary.
Here is a pic of the welting on my 34. This is at the top of the cowl where the hood bracket attaches. Hope this is the right area. If not let me know and I will try to get pics of the area you want.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post those pictures, I really appreciate it!! That helps alot.. Jimmy White
