av8 motor trans question 59-ab motor-tranny to stock a rearend

After years of chevelle dedication I picked up a model a from my dad. He had hopes of restoring it but lost interest in it, so I got it and I am going to do it for him,it the least i can do for all the thing he has done for me. I got hooked on this site and all the info I can get here. so I need some help, I have done searches but time is short to pick up this motor so will a 1946 59-ab flathead and trans bolt up to a model a reareand with little modification. I would like to keep my stock rearend if possible, any help would be great before I purchase the motor-tranny thanks
