Started this a bit early, and just an FYI. Hope I'm not breaking any rules. Got the latest "Scale Auto" magazine today, and it's got an announcement in it concerning a new Hawk kit. Ford flathead V8, #11081, in 1:6th scale. Diecast, in kit form. Also available pre-***embled, #11082. Also mentions a Ford model T custom pickup from Hawk, #72334, 3-in-1, in 1:24 scale. There's also a '32 Ford gallery, and an article on the reissued "Parts Pack" engines of days gone by. All-in-all, not a bad issue for rodders. Dated Dec. 2008, has the blue Daytona Charger on the cover. Roger
stumbled into a hobby shop today with my kids and bought a "Road Agent" - can you recommend a good "model car 101" site so I can learn some stuff about building models, I'm an absolute novice at this...thanks-
No rules broken. It's Sunday in Australia and there are great model contributors from there. No one's posted any models for a few weeks. I always look forward to "Sunday Models."............like a 63 year old KID!
Here is a diorama I built a few years back. It is called "A Matter of Priorities" The scene is a party where the new garage has been suitably tidied for a bbq party and the guys are congregated inside while the girls enjoy a drink & chat outside - as theyy do. Chris and here are the girls enjoying a cool drink out side
Awesome stuff!!!!!! What does one do with a AMT 1953 F100 glue bomb? He makes a roadster out of it! Sectioned down the sides, and split in the middle. Great stuff Chris and Ryan. First time I've posted any model stuff here. Here are a few goodies I managed to snaffle yesterday. You've gotta love the old box art! A couple have been started but most are untouched. The 63 Customizing Kit is the Impala Convertible - nice! Cheers,PJ
Pontiac Jack, I want that blazer @ bottom left. Great stuff you have there, all. Love the builds too. Omega, That rig is very cool. cdansie, love the care and detail you've put into that piece.
I threw this woodie together in just two weeks which is lightning fast for me. I needed something to break my builder's block so I didnt agonize over details. I did chop & shorten the roof-woodies are easy since everything's straight lines and right angles!
Nice stuff guys ! My 48 Phaeton is almost done The carson top fit better, the merc grille shell is a little taller than before, i shortened the 49 merc rear bumper and scribed the line of the doors hood and fenderskirts ... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
Here's 3 I had at a show last week. The Merc is a resin body on the AMT frame, '37 Coupe is a phantom resin piece and the '58 Chevy has a chop to it, all I need to do is get gl*** to fit it. Bob
