Hi people, I've been reading threads on this site for a couple days now. This is a really good board. Anyway, I'm 30 years old, and live in Tampa, FL. i was restoring a 1957 Willys station wagon up until a few months ago when my son was born. I had to sell it to pay for medical bills. It was a fun project, and it gave me the opportunity to get elbow deep into a flathead inline 6 (Kaiser/Willys 226 model). Ever since then, I've been thinking about working on my next flathead. My next dream project will probably involve another Willys of some sort and a maybe a flathead V8. After all, so many guys just slap a SBC or 5.0 Ford into their offroaders, but a 50's era 4x4 that looks like a milk truck is just begging for flatty power. Right?
Welcome aboard and if you have any chance pack the family up and get outta Tampa. Youll never get anything on the road in that town!! Dont believe me? ask around hahahahah voodoo and repo are exempt
uh oh did I move? That S doesn't stand for Snyder does it? I thought I was the only 30yr old "Eric S" here. _Eric
No, the S. stands for Seeger. But sometime i wear a toolbelt like Snider the repairman on that old show back in the 70s and 80s. Here's a pic of the old Wilyls wagon I was working on (hopefully, it's under better care now in Alabama)
Welcome Aboard! Don't listen to Draglicks we do get things done occasionally....I bled some brakes with dv8 and Sinner last weekend...and mounted the starter solonoid and some wiring and we had Wendy's. In fact tonight is the Chick Fil A night...down on Causeway...you may want to go out there. Tim MBL

Eric: I thought your description sounded familiar. Once I saw the picture and you said your last name I knew where I'd seen it. I'm Sean with the old green Kaiser Wagoneer. Small world that you came over here. How's being a parent working out for you?

Good to hear from you again. like i said, i had to unload the Willys a while back. My wife actually cried as it was getting towed away. This whole dad thing is way cooler than I ever thought. Turns out, I'm the biggest friggin sap in the world for this kid. Imean, baby talk (not when guests are visiting, of course) and everything! A real grade-A goofball. How's the old Kaiser coming along?

[ QUOTE ] How's the old Kaiser coming along? [/ QUOTE ] I know what you mean about fatherhood. I didn't expect to enjoy it so much either. We moved in March and car stuff has taken a back seat for right now. The Jeep is sitting off to the side with my A frame both awaiting some lovin'.
Welcome Eric. Don't worry about all the Tampa bashing. Especially coming from Tampa guys who know better. There are lots of Tampa/St. Pete area guys with old rides on the road. A few of them are HAMB'ers...most of them aren't. Hell...although I don't live in Tampa, I could throw the battery in my 48 plymouth and drive it right now, if I wanted to look like the mosquito control truck going down the street (damn valve seals!).
Welcome Eric ! If ya need a cool project, I have this one For Sale, and I'm only 40 minutes from Tampa. Glad to have another Central Florida guy around. AHotRod
Welcome aboard. I live about ten minutes east of Tampa. It's good to see some more people in this area on this board. Hope you get another project soon and we'll see you on the road.
[ QUOTE ] Welcome! We need more Tampons here. [/ QUOTE ] LOL Well I thought it was funny 4t6frd. Welcome Eric. So about the terminal speed of an unladen swallow...
Welcome Eric! Come on down to the "JP Ranch" and see what is going on; MBLs rod is coming along nicely, and dv8 has some great cars there himself. Don't mind all the bagging on each other...there's no heat! See you around Mike
