Hello kids. Got a question about my 49 F-1. I installed one of Sids 3" drop alxes, reveresed the main spring eyes, and removed half the leaves. Everything looks groovy except my tie rods need to be about two inches lower.. Seems I saw a artical in Cl***ic Trucks that had some sort of lowering devise for tie rods.. Anyone have any ideas?

Speedway sells bumpsteer kits for $10 per side. It's basically just a tapered bolt, a heim joint, and spacers.

Cenn Penn sells a tie rod drop for early Ford trucks. I have used them with good results.

I've got the Cenpen drop too and am happy with the product.

I've looked all through my speedway catalog and can't find the bumpsteer kit you speak of. Is that what it is called in there? What section is it in?

I just put their catalog in my recycling bin. PM your mailing address and I'll send it to you.
