Just picked up my 1934 Chevy Pick up and would love to start the chop.I was thinking about 4inch cut in front and five in the back. Has anyone chopped 34 pick up? Post some photos if you got them.Sharpen the blades on saw ,here I come.

    Thanks The Instructor

dont think an angle chop towards the back would look to good on that truck.

You are right five the front and four in rear .:D

  5. I just blew through 40' of 1x1 tubing just to build the back wall structure & both rear corners. Have another 20' stick coming in on the next steel order to be able to do the doors & cowl. I'm almost positive at this point that it will be 80' in total 1x1 tubing to complete the entire cab including the floor support.

I chopped it 4" and it's a '34 chevy. Pics are on the thread 'Pushing King Fisher Forward"

Carl Hagan and the rear structure pics are coming shortly.

  6. Is the Truck an Apple Box covered with Tin like the sedans? If so make sure it's all solid so your Cab stays square and the doors hang right before you start cutting it up. Not setting the Wood on fire while welding is a Challange. I just did an all steel inner frame on A 34 2 door. What a pain! I also chopped it some.

Damn thats sweet. The doors on that look the same as my 38 chev doors. Do you know how much that was chopped?
