anybody know where the central cruse is , i know its friday night (11-07-2008) and on central ave but what other cross roads? and what time?
Don't know anything about a Friday night deal but there have been some guys hanging out at the Park Central Mall parking lot on Saturday evenings.
Looking at the web site again, I believe it is just the weekly deal like Steve said and not the bigger one.

heres a few from my shutter......................................................... i had a great time and there were plenty of great cars.
Looks like it was a very cool time. They allow dragsters there? Thought it was just street cars. I coulda' brought my Pontiac AA/Fueler. Maybe next time. I wonder if you need to reserve a space or just get there real early? I cruised Central almost every night when it was the place to be. Not sure when it started, probably in the mid 50s but, it ended around 1986 when the cops started putting barricades only allowing one lane north and one south. Killed it good. Oh, those were the days! The north turn around was just past Camelback, usually where the DQ was. On the south, we all made 3 lefts and 1 right, a block before getting to McDowell. Which put us back north after going around the block. Got many tickets there. The stupidest one was 'not having registration in plain sight'. Yes, the cops wrote me a ticket because I had my registration for my GTO in my glove box. Can we say har***ment? Oh well, I am over it, it was a loooong time ago. Steve
I haven't been up there in awhile but, I do remember the McDonalds used to be on the west side of Central, just below Indian School. The Arbys used to be on the east side, a bit to the south. That is where the McDonalds is now. Loss of traction? never heard of it worded that way. I had a few 'squealing tires'. Steve Barcak
Yes Arby's and McDonalds switched places in the mid 80's. The place that's Arby's now, used to be one of the original "real" 50's McDonalds with the big neon Golden Arches- it was one of the oldest and most original MCD's in the country until they "fixed" it. And yes, the phrase "Unnecessary loss of traction" is permanantly etched in my memory.
