Orbitron....

Looking through a few of my old hotrod magazines and spotted this in the classifieds.August 1968 Hot Rod magazine.

 

Thats Crazy..... Wow if I could only go back in time...

 

Thats freakin awesome if the guy only knew at the time what he had it probably wouldn't have ended up where they found it and in the condition they found it in!I know i know nothing like stating the obvious right.

 

Keep in mind that that was INSANE money in '68.. no wonder it ended up how it did.

 

that was STUPID money in 68 hell in 73 I bought a done chopped model A with a 327 tri-power etc. for a huge $1800

 

I would guess he did, but I wonder if the new owner has seen this ad? I know when there was a discussion of the car when it was found, everyone said it was sold "to some guy in Texas" but at that time no one had a name. Looks like the nose was still intact in the summer of '68.

In 1968, my neighbor bought a mint, REAL Cobra for $4,000.

 

Coincidentally, I just got the latest issue of Hot Rod in the mail today and it has an article about the restored Orbitron.
