Hands down, the '59 is the best ElCamino ever. I rode in a brand new one in 1959. A 348,tri-power, 4spd owned by my scoutmaster. He let me drive it out in the country about 6 months before I got my license. Swore I'd own one someday. Still looking and waiting. Frank
Man i Wish mine had a 348 tri power and a 4 speed! thats cool memories frank! ive had this one for about 2 yrs now. its got a 283 bored 60 over, 350 trans, monte carlo subframe, and a 9" out back. Its a fun car and still gets alot of the " What is that? They made El Caminos that old?" ha
Slick looking car.. Always loved the 59-60 ElCamino's.. The stance and rolling stock on yours look great! Tony
MAN,That thing looks like ***, And you need to let me know where I can come and pick it up ASAP. Just KIDDING YA man ............ It looks great ,always one of my favorite all time cars ... Ya can be proud to ride in that AND the back drop says it all... Thanks for the post!
Awesome looking model. It never look so cool. I always wondered what a 59 Buick would look like with this treatment. I think that one could graft the nose and tail of a Buick onto this platform... Something to think about.
violating the pics huh! I knew i had to stop and take a pic when i saw a possible back drop! the 59 buick swap would prob look pretty wicked.
