Without a doubt my favorite drag car of all time is a chopped 33 Willys. This is the first one that I ever saw. This is my dad's car from 1968. At the time I was eight years old.

Before the 33 my Dad ran this 40 Willys coupe. This was 1965.

My Dad sold his Boss Hydro Willys in the fall of 68. In 1981 I bought the Willys back and ran it under the Action Transmission name. Best ET 8.53 on gas.

In 1983 I transformed my Dad's Boss Hydro car into the Boss 33, at the time, I was in my early twenty's and didn't have enough money to build a new car. I remember my dad telling me I would be sorry for cutting up the original car. He was so right.

In an attempt to get the Willys in the sevens, I updated the Boss 33 with some chassis mods and a new KB engine, The car got in the sevens, running a 7.98 but was destroyed on the pass when it made a left hand turn going through the traps.

While licking my wounds and saving enough money to build a new car, I drove this steel 40 Willys for my Dad. With a stock stroke steel motor and torque flite transmission we carded a 8.43 best.

In 1987 I debuted the Flashback 33 Willys. I sold this car in 1991 and it went through a few owners including Jim Godeic who won the Goodguys B/GS championship. Today, good friend Dave Cobb from Ohio owns her.

In the mid late 80's there weren't a whole lot of blown willys to race against. I built this 41 Willys to match race against my flashback 33. We also ran on the Wild bunch and Hot rods from hell circuit. This picture is from its debut at the Indy Goodguys event. First time out we ran a 8.24. Later on we lowered that to a 7.95.

After going through a nasty divorce, I was out of racing for a while. In 1997 my Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The chassis on the Time Machine had to be redone to pass the new chassis specs. Together we built the Big Time Memories Willys. My Dad passed away in 1998.

No it's not - it's Lynn Park's aka Mr. Cobra and has been for some while - never been off the chassis and he bought it from Oklahoma. I has a dual quad 392 not the late model 5.7 or 6.1 shown in Gary Anderson's.

I would have been there with my '40 too but the Freeway was shut down because of the wildfires.

I guess its time for me to share a couple of mine. Ive had several sedans also if you guys want to see them and also a custom 42 roadster built in the early 50's. It was an original rat rod that was featured in a few magazines back in the day.
