UPDATE: WE RAISED $200 I requested the money from paypal, I am going to go get and give out the giftcards this weekend probably. THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS AND GALS!

    ok guy and gals,

I have done this before and it has worked awesome.. When Katrina came and left we raised money and I went and got $5 dollar gift cards to Wal-Mart and Mcdonalds since they are everywhere, this one I will add starbucks.

The California fires are still going and there a lot of people that have lost their homes, cars and everything that they loved in life. The holidays are coming up and some people wont have homes. I am asking if you can please donate $1 or $1000 anything will help I am going to run this from now until friday. I will then give you a total on friday and then go get all the $5 dollar gift cards and Personally (since I am out of work, leaves me some time) hand them out to the people who could use them. Even though I have no income at the moment I will start it out with $50 Bucks!

My paypal is Brockjrb@aol.com or If you need PM and I will get you my home adress.

I mean if everyone just donated $1 dollar many people would be blessed.....

    Kind Regards,

    Bigdaddy,

    John

The last chance I took on something sight unseen, it turned out to be a super gift for me.

There's $50.00 coming your way to match your opening bid. Good Luck!!:)

Is there anything I can do to help with a diesel truck and flatbed trailer down there? I imagine there's some burned cars and a fair amount of debris to clean up. is there anything a group of blue collar guys can come down and help with that you know of?

At the Anaheim Pond (Now Honda Center) and the Roe Bowl today, the Red Cross is accepting direct donations. Real easy, just cruise through and give whatever you can; from your loose change to the guy who dropped off a grand this morning.
Not to hijack your idea but for locals it's a very easy way to give a little as an alternative.

It hasn't been just the fire that caused loss.... unfortunately there has been a lot of looting going on in OC. Some family packed it all up, stayed at a hotel, when they woke up their cars had been broken into and everything was gone..... There have been other stories of looting as well.

Great idea guys and keep it up... I'll have to reserve monetary value til after the first of the year when I go back to work...

But, CNN ran a segment awhile back about a little boy that collected Hot Wheels and lost all of them. He was 7, the same age I was when we lost our house to a fire. I had a large box of about 75 Hot Wheels I had bought awhile back... He needed them more than I...

I hope this will be toward the spirit you guys are leading here...

And come on guys, put your money where your mouth is... pay up... I know it's tough right now, but don't buy one part you "WANT"... and send that money to help someone at this time...
