After months of waiting, due to shipping hold ups, I finally collected my deauce pick up last week. Had a blast driving it home even though it was raining and I didn't have any fenders or a wiper. Unfortunately I lost the charging circuit and therefore the lights about 50 miles from home so, as it was getting dark, had to get a recovery truck to handle the last leg of the trip. All sorted now though, just a duff voltage regulator. Truck was built by Steve at Limeworks. Spec is... 32 Ch***is and rear end Drilled 40 Ford front axle mounted in front of the spring 40 Ford brakes 33 Ford flathead and 3 speed box 4 inch chopped top and shortened 36 ford pick up bed. Future plans are to drive the **** out of it! (I might stick a wiper on it though ) A couple of pics when I picked it up And a couple from the end of the night.... I quite like the scabby hood.
awesome...man I bet you were going nuts waiting for that one...very nice...have fun and drive the wheels off of it!
Nice one Gavin i saw your post over on the UK NSRA site.........you mentioned you had problems near Oxford...........I live in Oxford , shame id have popped out .....Nice pickup
Very nice..it looks like it was worth the wait. Are you going to make any changes? By the way, I'll bet you were wishing that the visor didn't have any holes when you were in the rain storm (ha-ha). I think I'm going to install one of those manual wipers mine. Who needs 'lectricity.
Cool truck! similar to how mine will look. I vote for running the hood! You sure its a four inch chop? looks like three to me, just compared it to a couple of other 'fours' and it seems taller in the side windows? just something im trying to decide on for my truck.. if thats four, i think i want five!!
The only changes will be to paint the hood and detail it bit by bit whilst i enjoy using it. It could well be a 3 inch chop mate. Steve will know. Hopefully he will pop along soon and let us know. Thanks for all the comments guys.
