    Hey there everbody,
My name is Patrick McCarty, I'm 29 years old and I'm totally addicted to old school rods. I've never had one myself, but my uncle has always had them and I've been around them my whole life. My family has been in the Ford business since the 1940's and they all still are. Even if its barely right now! There ain't nothin' finer in the world than a 27 coupe channeled and chopped with a blown flatty under the hood! or lack of hood! lol I would give up my daily driver to cruise a rod any day. Thing about that is, nobody wants to give up theirs! As for me, in January I'm quitting work to go back to school full time to be a nurse. I know, go ahead and give me shit now. lol I'm just glad theres a place for people like me that still believes in affordable rodding. Low, cool, mean, and best of all cheap! Thats all for now but hit me up if you wanna chat, or you just might wanna trade that 27 T or 49 Ford for my Ranger! I'm also a welder so if anyone needs some work done after January in the hill country of Texas, just shoot me an email.

Thanks for joining. Welcome to the Hamb. Hope to see you in Austin sometime. Read all you can around here. And good luck finding a car. They're around.

P.S. You don't have to call them "rats" around here.

    Welcome.
Enjoy the wit and wisdom that is the HAMB.

Word of caution;do not discuss, utter, type or think about "rat" rods here.99% of us take great pride in craftmanship, safety, performance and tradition. If you want rats source kill bill et or one of those other sites.
The GarageJournal.com is great too.Same sign in there as here.

    You'll enjoy this forum...
