Wow, what a project! I can't wait to see it finished. Maybe you can bring it to detroit at a project. I like seeing half finished stuff as much as the shiny final product.

I thought about taking the Punk apart and stashing the body up in the rafters at work and using the parts on other cars. That way 50 years from now when someone finds it they have to go through the agony of tracing down all of the exact pieces. Ha Ha Ha

I have a feeling though that unless it has a hopped up 4 cylinder in it, in 50 years, no one will care about it. ha ha ha

whamoman, Thanks for solving a 2 1/2 year mystery for me. My son and I saw this in the back of Starbirds museum in '06. I've had Corvairs, so I recognized the drivetrain, but not the car. I knew it was an important car, but thats all. I'm so thrilled to see it being saved. Great job. Can't wait to see it done... Ed

    here's a couple of pix from '06

I saw that car out there a couple of years ago as well. I don't know about you, but I think it would be awesome to have a couple of monster trucks to beat around the yard!

The rear end of this car is fantastic. I had no idea there was an unfinished masterpiece by one of the giants just sitting out there somewhere waiting to be found. Has anything like this ever happened before? The story behind this thing is incredible. Someone needs to make a movie or do***entary about this project. THe general public would eat this up. Its amazing the car was ever found but to then be able to collect all the original drawings and pics to go with it. Carl and crew
are really doing something special here. I cant wait for more updates.

Since the original Silhouette has been mentioned, I wanted to bring this thread back, hoping to see more progress on this car.
