now that the chop is done, the dash needed something done with it, I like 49 plymouth dashes and I got one from a guy a while ago and with a little cutting and shaping, it fits right in. I have some ideas for blending in the ends of the dash so the body lines on the inner doors will flow into the dash. more later. Bud
I used a 49 in my 52 I had to extend the sends a little to look right, Be sure to check the winshild frames. But you knew that LOL
'Pilothouse' is an endearing term for the 48-54(?) Dodge pickup. There is even a separate forum for them under the www.p15-d24.com banner. This is a truck that is gaining alot of devotees and at present there seems to be plenty available at reasonable prices, unlike some others.... .
Guess I'm never too old to learn something!!!!!!!!was just first time in my 75 years that I'd heard that term
I feel the same way about my 50 dodge dash. Everything about the design of the car is rounded, except the dash. It just doesn't feel right.
Finished putting in the dash today, i decided to make the ends match the raised lines in the inner doors for continuity sake, It make for more welding and fabricating, but it came out ok, next step is suicide doors!! Bud :d
