Just a quick Hi from the new guy in Wyoming. I grew up around street rods, both of my brothers got street rods when they were 16. Then my family got into stock car racing, so The street rods took back stage to the racecars for a few years. I got a racecar at age 16.... Well I have raced now for 13 years and am ready for a break from it. So this fall I started on a street rod project. I was having trouble deciding what I wanted to build, so my first build is for my Dad. He has saved all these cars for years, so I asked him which one he wanted. I was surprised the chose the 28 pontiac pu. Yes Pick up. Someone at some time made a pontiac sedan into a pu. It wasn't that great of a job either. So here I am. I have the Ch***is done as of last weekend. The motor is just sitting about where is needs to be. I'm hoping next weekend to have the engine ant trans mounted.

Ok so muck for the quick hi, I'm hoping to share any info I know and hoping to learn alot more.

here are a few pictures of the Pontiac PU I'm working on. The green computer image is about what I want it to look like when done, but mine will be blue. I made the front suspention my self. Pinto spindles, caviler rack ( rear steer ) Cross member and lower control arms made by me. The upper control arms are the same as you would see on any IMCA type mod.

Welcome - Looks as though you will have a very neat and unique pickup when done.
I'm sure your dad will agree.....
What kind of bed are you going to put on it? Pontiac running gear?
