I need some idea's here for a website and business cards such as designs for a logo, font for the writing, etc. Does anyone here know of any good websites with a nice "vintage" feel to it? I like the old scripted writing like emblems they put on cars like Chevrolet styled (not sure what to call this so sorry if it sounds completely stupid).
Pretty much anything would be great. I was thinking keep it very simple with a few colors such as black background, off white (yellowed) writing and red along with a little bit of chrome looking writing.
I thought the main name would be written in the script (emblem) style writing in chrome like it's am emblem and the rest the off white.
I'd really appreciate any idea's, oppinions and help on this.
    Thanks!

38pickup, I will keep you in mind. You seem to do great work and I only wish I could do that. I am thinking about taking some graphics design cl***es at the local community college because I'd like to learn to make logos for business cards, shirts and websites on the computer.
Anyone else here have any examples of sites?

Your work is awesome! I really like the fonts and such on a lot of them. How did you get started in doing such work? Was it self taught, school...???

Unless you want to buy the font "Belair Regular", do a search for a font called "Raceway". I found it online for free. It's damn close and may work for what you need.
    Cheers!

If you take cl***es, be sure to learn about design, fontography and creativity, none of which have anything to do with learning to operate Photoshop and Illustrator. The computer is nothing more than a pencil... it's a tool and the idea has to come first.

This is my day job: http://www.redorchestracreative.com I've been here for 15 years. My first job out of school lasted 6 weeks, before I was "recruited" and whisked away into my current job. :D

I really like the legendaryaircraft site. This one is pretty kick *** too. http://thevintageaviator.co.nz/

I did the Victory site (see link below) to be pretty simple graphically, like the catalogs were back in the '40s.

I designed this this iden***y and website too, but didn't do the programming. I'm no programmer, that's for sure...
