Hey out there just want to say who ever responded to my whole flame throwing post. Thanks for the info. Anyways i was wondering if anybody knows how or what they make the blade looking hub caps or rims from the movie/musical for grease on the black mercury. If anyone knows that would be great because i would like to try and fab. them myself. But i do not know what type of material would be best to use.
    thanks for your help!!!!

They were reminiscent of the Roman battle chariots. I believe they were just sheetmetal cutouts bolted to the hubcaps.

I wish that car had whites...

  3. Unless you're planning on snapping them on at the car shows, get used to being pulled over ALOT...

  4. I'd wear shin guards whilst working on the car

Oh yeah...as stated, they're WAY illegal.

And I always wondered if the force they create would try and pull the caps off the wheel...

me and vntge41 made some in his shop cl*** kinda screwing around. It was funny at first, but then it got old scratching my shins evertime I forgot and walked by so i took them off.

  7. You can make lots of flipper style caps by using your imagination and having a
source of numerous wheel covers. You can take the spinner unit off of one
kind and bolt it onto another.....fairly simple. I'd skip the Roman chariot things.
