I am looking for a copper colored high temp paint that my merc flattie came from the factory with, I cant find it anywhere. what makes high temp paint withstand high temperatures, is it possible to mix up your own paint color and make it high temp?

    thanks,
    Tater

A single stage urethane or even acrylic enamel will work just fine on an engine block

Bill Hirsch has all the factory colors. It's good stuff.

I do agree that any quality auto paint will work just fine on your flatty.
