1939 Pontiac Body Tag ID

Could someone please help me decode this body tag? It would be even more beneficial if someone could point me in a direction as to actually how you read these and the corresponding codes. I've searched up and down the site and the world wide web.

Trim No. 74-V
Paint No. 50

 

according to the Steele Rubber style chart, it's

DeLuxe 4dr. Touring Sedan, 6 P***., 120"W.B.

I don't have paint or trim codes, but if you search the auto literature places you might find a paint code chart....for sale....

Now if I can just figure out the body and trim numbers.

 

body number is a serial number, so it won't really mean anything. The trim number would tell you the interior color...maybe somewhere like Lebaron-Bonney except that they do other GMs but not ponchos!
