hey i am new to this but i wanted to get my name out there so people can know what i am working on to maybe help me with advice and parts and everything i am just a young guy 20 years old working on my first projects for myself. my father has been building kustom cars for pretty much his whole life. he has his own business called performace ch***is if you are interested in any thing with that just let me know. but back to my projects i have recently purchased two cars one 1932 ford pickup body and also a 1930 model a coupe both are in pretty ruff shape and are going to take a lot of work. i am ready to get both of these vehicles started. i am on a tuff budget cause i am trying to get to school and work and work on these cars all at once thats why if anyone could help with advice or good deals on parts or anything i would greatly appreciate it. i will attach some pics of my ford truck some of the model a will be up soon. thanks for reading this is you did hope to hear from anyone who has knowledge that could help me thanks again.
thanks a lot for reading both of your projects are super rad i hope i can get mine into shape. i am really wanting to make something radical and super low. even with the ****py illinois roads haha
i am probably going to start on the model a first. but i will be buying all the patch panels for the truck and work on it also. these are the two cars i have been like dreaming of for years and to have them both at the same time makes it a hard decision. ha
i am from a small town that is about an hour from springfield iL. its between there and stl pretty much

welcome from st. louis! i also started with a '32 truck cab in about the same state. hope to see it on the road soon, but hopefully not before me...
is it a 33 the guy didnt know and i am not great at telling them apart yet haha but thanks for the info for sure. cause i would be calling it a 32 haha. what is the difference by the way?
well if the guy i got the truck from cant find the window frame by this weekend i will probably need that. i just really need to fix the body and floor the most. i wont be running fenders or a bed on this one.
Glad to have another Illinoise member on the list, Spell any way you want, structure any way you want, we won't turn you out.

Welcome to the HAMB !! Lots of info on here ,learn to use the search ,it will help you out on a lot of questions you may have with your projects. Good luck.
best advice I have is, join the alliance, support the HAMB, and don't get caught up with a girl right now in your life and you'll be fine. You'll get money someday, but its the time that I wish I had still. Good luck and welcome
Welcome to the HAMB. Good luck with the projects! I had a '58 Chevy Del Ray as a daily driver when I was going to school 10 years ago. It was nice to have an old ride. There was always more things that I wanted to do to the car but school took up all my time and money. But I stuck with it and got a great job. Now I have the resources to build my dream car, a hemi powered '34 Plymouth. So my advice is to stick with school, if that is what you like, because it will give you better chances to fund a hot rodding hobby.
A 32 has a removable firewall and it does not have a seat riser [had the gas tank under the seat] and the dash has an insert for the gauges......
