Show me some Poncho pics!

I enjoy seeing the chevy twins, but I don't see much about the Poncho's posted.

Would you guys mind showing me some Poncho pics? Anything from '40 to '60 will do. (late 40's and early 50's would be very cool)

I'm hoping to get some ideas, so Kustom stuff would also be great.

I'll throw a couple in to start. I've done plenty of things, but it still looks like a Poncho.


- All the trim except the window trim has been removed and the holes welded and sanded.

- The headlights were molded in, welded, and sanded.

- The rear bumper was cut and shortened, molded into the body, welded, sanded.

- The front grill was cut in half, shortened, and welded in a V pattern.

- rear trunk trim and emblem deleted, holes welded and sanded.

- Hood trim molded into the hood, welded, sanded.

- Rear emblem relocated to front bumper/grill.

- MoonEyes.

- Front facia trim delete.

- Front turn signals deleted.

- Hood emblem deleted.

- 12 volt conversion.

- 3 inch drop

- Custom battery box.

- Full re-wire.

nice ride Midnight50, I've got a 49 streamliner, can't understand why more of these Pontiacs have not made it to the kustom world......just a fleetline with a different badge. I'm just starting mods on mine, got it as almost a driver....tough to find parts though.....good luck....keep the posts coming

Thank you guys. I wish there were more examples to be found. With the straight 8 engine they are setup to handle the v8 weight so you'd think there would be more used in modded applications. I always have to look at chevy's to see what all is going on with the body style.

My buddies 49 is original besides a S10 4x4 3.43 rear and the Supremes.

 

I seem to do alot of Pontiacs, Here is a 52 that I am finishing up for a customer. Not a custom but still A nice restoration. This car was very bad when I got it. Thanks, Jon.

Fish, you got a side shot of those tinted windows? (or a 3/4 rear shot if I am being picky)

 

Got one or two kicking around. If I remember correctly, the back 3 are 15%, and the side's and vents are 35 or 40%. At the store I was at it was the second darkest and the second lightest. No problems from the boys in blue yet either, they've been beside me at lights and haven't even commented on the loud pipes. I drive nice most of the time... most

 

Thank you. This has been a tough decision for me on my 50. I think I'm probably going to keep mine clear. Still not 100% sure.
