  1. Hey Bass! Could a sixty year old geezer come and sweep the floor just so I could learn from you? I want to go out in the garage and kick my '29!!!

I need more clients willing to PAY for work like that. They all WANT work like that, but don't like to pay for it....

Thanks Jimmy! I don't know if I can ever be considered in the same realm as the great Art Chrisman, but that's really nice of you to say that! I also can't wait to hear the stroker 265 cackle.

Thanks dude...I think the sound is just as important as the look. I'm shooting for the Lonestar Roundup. I'm pretty sure there's just not enough time for me to get it ready for the GNRS.

Thanks John...I keep thinking about what we were talking about interior-wise, and I'm really excited about it!

Nick, it's getting paint. A nice medium blue.

Keith, your work is a great inspiration for me, and I'm really glad you like the roadster!

Yep, I think the early small blocks are going to get more and more popular. And I definitely couldn't have put together such a nice motor without Eric's expert machinework and advice.

Well, I'm right there with you on that one. If this wasn't a "shop" project where hours weren't really an issue, it would be hard to convince a customer to OK all of the labor hours that are already in this car.

I use an older water-cooled Miller/Airco Dialarc 250. It's probably almost as old as I am, but it still works like a champ!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys....I'm pretty stoked on how the car is turning out!

  14. Looks killer Mr Bass. Are you aloud to expand on what you used to smooth out the block, I really like that and those welds are what wet dreams are made of.

Brian-Thank You for the props that was gnarly. You know I have machined a lot of trick engines but this 265 has been one of my favorites and it was worth all the extra work. A ''Carter'' crank is the only way to go haha.

BASS - "Thanks for all the positive comments guys...It's nice to know that some of you out there appreciate the work that I do!"

We don't appreciate the work we're damn jealous of it!! I'm with Root, I should turn in my hammers as well.

I don't know how I missed this thread before, but now I feel insignificant. Awesome welds, awesome stance, and just amazing attention to detail. Now that my custom is almost done this thread has given me a ton of inspiration for my next build...a Hot Rod!

    Great job Brian!
