This is probably a stupid question, but I know there are experts on this forum that can answer it in no time at all and I could not find a decent answer after searching the web this morning.

My truck currently wears American Racing-American Bajawheels with 235/75R15 tires. The info on the wheels is:
    Product Number: AR1727885<O:p</O:p
    Size: 17" x 8"<O:p</O:p
Product Description: AMERICAN BAJA POLISHED 5x139.7<O:p</O:p
    Backside Spacing (in): 4.50<O:p</O:p
    Offset: 0mm<O:p</O:p

I really like the wheels but would like to change the stance of the truck.
I was thinking of taller and wider tires in the back while keeping the fronts the same (to save a buck:rolleyes:).
Can someone point me in the correct direction to calculate the tallest and widest wheel that can be fitted to these wheels?

    Thanks to both.:)

It appears from the charts that I really can't make that big of a difference with tires!

    You can try here:

    http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

It gives you a rim width range for a particular tire size. Also it'll give you an idea of how much taller and wider the new size is compared to the old. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't show sidewall size, just overall size.

I am a little confused; you talk about both 15 and 17 inch wheels......

***uming you have the more-common 15 inchers, I run P265/75R15 on the back of my pickup. Replaced the P285/70R15 I had for a long time (that size is hard to find now). They are a little more than 30 inches tall, and might work for you. I run them on eight inch wheels.
