How do I lengthen a draglink?

    Ok guys and girls I just set up the steering box in my model A..had to move it back into the frame to clear the heads...so now I have to lengthen the draglink to get it out to the steering arm..So what is the best way to do this.and the safest. I am still using the stock A pitman arm and I have a bolt on aftermarket steering arm..no biggie to bolt on a ball stud. Thanks!

    cut it, add some rod, put a sleeve over it, and weld...

    Start wih a Model A Tierod...cut and rethread. Draglink is a one piece forging, tie rod is tripar***e in nature,.

    Hehe, you may have just saved me $50 . . I was probably going to buy a new drag link for my A (the one that was on the frame I purchased was cracked). I got 2 extra cross links laying around . . .
