Strange Pontiac Single Spring Rear

    diagram only shows one side, it would have two lower arms, and springs , in reality.

    that setup if bolted into a car would result in a drastic lean....;)

    Springs mount on top of the lower control arms, arrow is the spring retainer, similar to chevy truck/nascar setup.

    sorry for the bad pics, it was still light enough out. hard to get under tho, kinda low. twin trailing arms and springs, and a center upper arm.

    Now question is that center pivot arm loaded or just kinda there ??
    and is that like some sort of snubber or just upper control arms kinda whooie?

    it pretty much helps with side to side movement, not loaded or anything. no snubber anywhere, just a rearend leak, lol!

    One more question,,Does the centre piece replace or ( not sure of exact wording ) become the Panhard ?
