Does anyone please have a diff ratio chart for the '37 Ford truck - not the car. As with the cars, was there more than one diff option available with the truck or are they all the same? Thanks

By truck, do you mean big, long wheelbase, full floater rear os small, wheelbase same as car, passenger type rear?? 1/2 ton would be same as car, bigger has arange of very low ratios. And origin..if Ford England, there were some low ratios not available in USA.

Bruce, a friend has a car type axle from what we think came off a truck. It looks like the ratio is 4.44:1 but I can only find details for 3.54. 3.78, 4.11 & 4.33:1. I want to use this diff in a quick change and can play around with the spur gears to get the final ratio sensible. I'm also using a Camaro trans with 0.76 5th gear. Was there a 4.44:1?

The 4.44:1 gear set was found in pickups and panels which came with the V8-60 engine.

The lower the ratio the weaker the pinion gets, but it should be adequate.

Only if you use some caution with the application of the gas pedal and side stepping the clutch. NOTHING is bulletproof, especially old Ford drivetrain parts.
