  2. If you just want to throw it together on a decent ch***is and drive it until you find another body, I've heard of people just fibergl***ing over the inside and the outside of rusty metal, and just using it until the rust makes it delaminate itself... and it will.

Mine in 1996... doghouse baling wired on, no core support, front seat, engine or trans, front crossmember was torched to death for SBC fuel pump clearance.

I am sure you guys are right it is a es*** i have a 1953 buick chasiss with a nice staight eight and a th400 adapted with a benstens and a ford 8 inch rear that runs and drives around the yard with no body. So i think i will just mount the body run chanels through out and make floors for a seat and hang some doors. Since no body wants to buy the frame for what it is worth. The trans was $800 from summit and the adapter was i think $900 and then monuting the rear axle and doing all the brakes ect. So on it will go. And i will have to say that this is the place to be the knowlage that is on this the HAMB has to be the best bunch of people out there! :D

Yup, keep patching, it'll turn out fine, like my grandfather's axe... you know, the one on which I replaced the handle three times and the head twice...

But seriously, if you can do anything with that, uh, body, it'll give a lot of us incentive -- or courage....

This is what Jay ( Nosurf ) started with.... what a ruler!

I'm proud to say that I took him for his first ride in an A coupe, in the rain too I might add! I think he liked it - LOL

Yep, Jay has more heart than just about anyone else here.

This is what I started with. The steel was pretty solid other than the p***enger side behind the door. The wood structure was completely gone though.

BTW, did anybody else notice one newbie busting anothers chops? The both of you should shut your pie holes, go back and start reading old posts.

    Here's the coupe today.

If it was infact a Pierce Arrow as originally mentioned, there are people that pay dearly for them. A serious collector would have the $$$ to take that car to White Post or Schaffer & Long and have a proper restoration(read as REBODIED)done to it. If that were an old GarWood or Hackercraft boat, it would be considered a pattern boat but still be of value...;)

With the talent I have seen on here, ANYTHING is possible. You've been around here long enough that you should know that by now:D

I was hoping for a pierce but a es*** is fine just going to see what i can do. There is what is left of a 32 roadster near it with the quaters so i am taking that to. I love to pick up junk and see what can be done with it. If i hang this over the buick chasis and it looks good then i say what the hell i will go for it. I just wish we could get paid to do stuff like this just making cars from parts. I have hole shop full of misc. looking for a car or truck to put it on or in. I am a junk guy i have been saving the stuff the other throw away. I have ford 9" s nailheads flathead parts model t frame my next real project a 1954 hudson super wasp that was going to be crushed. And it is not bad at all. I am taking this body out wensday will post pics that night of the fun removing it.

The question I have to ask is. When you start patching what do you weld to? The metal that is left has to be so thin and pitted. After you get the rust off welding to me seems almost impossible. Then tring to find any parts would be a nightmare. With that being said if you think you can do it I say go for it.

How bad was mine??? My 34 truck ran and yard drove but it had a hot pink engine block, huge billet wheels and seafoam green paint with purple flames. Does that count as bad????

That'lle buff out... ;) If it is a PierceArrow, you may want to check to see if any of the restorers would be interested in it before you do anything with it. They can bring some high dollars done...
listen to this person . pierce arrows our worth their weight in gold ! normally a p/a never leaves its circle . friends buy them so they do not go for sale . $100,000.00 is not out of line . maybe you can build 2 for the price of what you have .
........... if you need contacts , pm me .... steve

I would say the roadster is a chrysler, the golf door and the look of the body lines look almost identical to a 29 chrysler roadster I just sold last year. Good luck with your projects, if nothing else I am glad they will not become soda cans! Jim
