I read the tech article posted and thought, wow. I almost want to build a set just for fun, even though I don't have a 32, atleast yet.

So I sat down and made an autocad file of it based on the tech article.

If anybody wants them here they are, if someone could print them out full size and compare to a real frame that would be even better.

I would love to build a set, just gotta find a reason why.

Anybody got a 32 ford body, want to trade for a set of new rails??? LOL

    http://www.nwstp.com/jsm/frame.zip right click save as.

Tried to upload it, but it exceeds file size.

autocad, unless you have autocad it won't work for you.

You could have solidworks, pro-e also, something that can work with a dwg file.

Thanks! Now if you owned a CNC plasma cutter you wouldn't even have to print them.

  7. Incompatable versions. I tried 14, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2008, and solid works.

    No good.

Glass huh, pm me if your serious.

Hmmm, I started to build one of those, sold it to a friend cheap with the idea if I ever needed to use it I could once he finished it. I need to check and see if he finished it.

I am sure someone here works or has one also. Got to thinking last night though even if they are perfect side and top views, due to the curves they will need to be stretched longer so when bent will be the right lengths. Going to play with solidworks and make a 3d model at some point.

  12. Thanks man - that one worked. Pretty sweet too. My buddy Lay Drag is talking about making his own frame - I am sure this will help somehow- not sure how yet!! I'll keep ya posted.

I traced a model A sedan into ACAD and have that saved on my other computer. Good for mocking up.
