Ok I am tired of posting pics there are about 250 up at www.photochicken.smugmug.com right now and another 100 should be up within a hour......Hope you enjoy
great photos chicken, thanks for posting... i took 3 pics, spent the whole time drinking myself retarded. mark and danine, thanks for all the hard work. another great freak'n show!!! props to the highway horrors, you guys had a very impressive lineup.
Yea the guys from the highway horrors.Los Cochinos,corsairs,H-bombs,Outkasts, and everyone else who attended made my first Autorama very memorabale. I got Gary Howard to sign the van since when he built the riviera it became the car that got me into loving customs when i was younger........It was a great time met alot of great people and cant wait for next show season and some upcoming clubs christmas partys
Wish I could have made the show this year but was out of town for turkey day. Great shots John, as expected. Thanks for the photos. Someone please tell me that is a clone of the Hirohata, If it was the real deal, self **** kicking shall commence. I need a display stand like you have John for my stuff. Nice looking work, I need to get up closer and check it out. Maybe next year. BR
Some nice cars and some different ideas especially this with plenty of quality workmanship and tricks.............Thanks for posting the pics.....Mark
John that is some wicked stuff. Great shots of the Gary Howard display. There is that one pic of Exotica that makes her rear qtr look a mile long. Nice fish eye. Good work. See you at the Round Up.
Hey wish I would have come up and said hi. We wouldnt miss the roundup, and hope to vend there also. Last year i was sitting ina hotel room in Houston while the wife was interviewing at the med center. I kept trying to do the math if i could make it to Austin in back before she got out lol Gary wanted some pics of his display so most of those are on the disc I gave him.......I traded him for his autograph on my van lol
i thought i recognized that car, the interior looked very familiar. but with all the sweet bombs out there, i tend to lose track. i LOVED that car when it was flat gold with the glitter top. but i may even love it more now. a little cl***ier, and just as killer with that deep glitter plumb color. the pictures really do not do it justice, that thing was so pristine in person. and yes - the Autorama was a very decent show this year. sure you will see plenty of straight off the lot "show" cars and mullet masterpieces, but the Roundup cars and trad rods are really taking over. the section where these cars were was the busiest by far on friday when i went. if you can just keep your lunch down as you walk by the Maroon and Gold bagger with every possible piece gold plated and mural painted... you will see some killer rides. not a lot of scoots there this year. Cutthroat had some cool evo builds, but i didnt see many trad bikes. maybe i can get mine in next year...
It was the real deal I about had a heart attack when it rolled in between it and Jimmie Vaughns Riviera I was in heaven. The wife designed the booth that dispaly is 10 foot tall even though it doesnt look it in pics. I keep it in the van most of the time so anytime you see us out let me know I will show it to you
The Hirohata merc was acually Jack Walker's clone and built by Doug Thompson, who built the re-creation of the Hirohata Mercury long before the original car was discovered and restored.
I thought it was the real one so i looked for the pinstriped dash, and there was nothing there here is the dash on the real one
This is your wife and she helps sell your photos? Damn, I bet business is good. Can I borrow her to help me sell some hemi engines?
Good to know it was the clone. I was wondering about it because Walker does quite a bit of the transporting of many of the show cars. Guess he brought another one of his own. I always thought the Dutch striping on the glovebox called "The city" or something like that was really nice.
HaHaHa if you have enough beer she might lol She is really good in the booth, and I could never do it without her. She always says sales pickup when I am in the booth telling the stories behind the pics, but I know its her and her dress collection lol
She could probably sell ice cubes to Eskimos. Damn, I wish I hadn't missed seeing everyone this year. P.S. Nice photos, thanks.
O.K I finally got the last of my pics up............did i mention I hate shooting indoor shows lol ......................and I dont know who brought this turd out but what a eyesore lol
Thats a compliment coming from a professional photographer. Pictures shot on a cheap fujipix camera. Yeah that camper was cool, does anyone know who originally manufactured it? Alex
