Bill and Kat stopped by the house last Sunday, temperature about 45 degrees in light sleet and rain. No top, no windows, no heater, no wipers - they put 50 miles on the hot rod that day!

After having a cup of coffee in the house to warm up, they had to brush the ac***ulated sleet off the seat!

    Whoa! 35woodie,

I saw that car a month ago on russel mills rd! I was awe struck when it blew past me!..I told my dad about it..he said..hmm that sounds like my friend bill's car.. sure as ****, he was right. Awesome!

I think its been a while sine my father saw Bill..dads name is Bruce-the fibergl*** guy.

Does bill still have the chevy pickup with the jag rearend? I remember that thing when i was a kid. he would drop a collection of seekonk speedway/star/thompson -news paper like race pages off to the front of my house so i could read them (i was about 14...24 now)

Nothing like a cold, wet rear in a roadster - that's why I'm building another one.

It's really too bad........with this kind of abuse........when their kids inherit the 32, they are going to have to give it another coat of black paint. :D

I am always too wet to get out the camera for a photo op. We have been caught out a number of times in the rain, as long as you keep moving its ok. The worst part is the spray off the big trucks, which sometimes blinds you. Notice I didn't complain about the spray from all the highboys. Oh well.

To quote my old friend Frank "IT'S ROADSTER WEATHER" no matter what time of the year. They always put a smile on my face. Great pics. The FOGGER

Those two are ********. I'm guessing, bill's really liking that new engine. I also see, he's done something about those basketballs, Coker calls bias plies.

Someone needs to put together a december reliability run.

    Me too.

I have to admit though, I've been caught out in the rain enough times to know I don't like it. So I won't go out intentionally in rainy weather. But I don't care how cold it is, as long as the roads are clear I try to take the car out for a ride at least once a week.

    Hi Ryan,

No Bill doesn't have that truck any longer but he does have a Bones-style 3 window with a 327 Chevy and Muncie 4-speed tied to a Halibrand QC Since he finished the roadster, the poor ol' 3-window just sits in the garage waiting for a drive.

I know we wait for a Dry day to drive on the salted roads , I know its not the best conditions but its what we got in Chicagoland. Drivem !!:D

These folks should be included in the HAMB legends thread. This is the kind of activity REAL hotrodders are involved in.

Bill tells me they are NANKANG 145-15s, whatever NANKANG is. He was running Coker bias ply 5.50-15s but could not get more than one season out of them. Handling, steering and ride are also much improved with the rice burner tires.
