Ok, another one. I am doing a full fendered A. In the frame, planing and buying stage. Using socal lader bars but am wondering if I could mount the 40 spring in front of the axle to get it lower. Anybody do this using the spring behind mounts from Speedway? The rear end will be a S-10 rear end.

Any pics of setups like this before I dive in? Thanks...Looking for the best way to lower the car and give a decent ride and still keep my back seat.

I'm thinking coil overs mounted out back will allow you to run as low as you wish with no drive train interference and keep the back seat too.
A 40 spring mounted behind the axle should provide a low ride height as well if you want a leaf spring.

  3. i think that the spring in front of the axle would interfere with the ladder bars , you may want to lay things out on paper before cutting metal
