I need to find some ABS or similar material to make new inner door panels, cardboard eventually turns to ****, we live in the crotch of the creation of humidity so we need something that will last. I also need some clips to fasten said door panel to door.

    Thanks in advance

Check out McMaster-Carr, then you can do a search on the left for ABS or you can look through the categories for material.

  3. I've considered using Foamex before - it's a light foam PVC. Lighter than ABS, we use it for making floating tank lid covers. Normally used for making signs and similar, our local plastic suppliers stock it in grey but it comes in a myriad of colours...

Follow this link it should show many sources in Florida, or that "serve" the Florida area.

Nads, check with your local plastics supplier, for a product called, Centra,it is available
in 1/8", which is about right for backer board. I've used this in the past with good results. It's easy to cut, drill and form.

    Alternative idea..

I've used material they sell at homedepot, lowes and I'm sure any other home improvement place. It's the white plastic board, about 1/8" thick that they market as wall covering for bathrooms, works great, is cheap, easy to work with and stays in shape really well. They sell it in 4x8 foot sheets.

1/8 luan plywood works the best and is easy to work with. luan is 1/3 the cost of plastic panels. for clips, fasteners, pvc panels and materials check out krist kustoms

The problem with Luan wood is it gets wet, rain, snow or washing the car (if you do that)...and when it drys, it'll warp...plastic will not. And the stuff they sell at upholstery shops these days is made to withstand warpage from heat as well. Spend the money, get the good stuff.

Found it locally, it's actually called Sintra, it can be stapled, painted and glued, it was only $30 tax included for a 4X8 sheet, thanks for all the help fellas.
