  2. Chop it, well yea give it a whack. But before I did that I'd lengthen the front doors and make the rears non functional.

ive choped 4drs before they come out ok i just wanna know what the top will look like

  4. I was talking about the fact that it was a 4 door not that the chop won't come out all right.

Bad angle for a photo chop. Full on side is what you want.
I don't know that I have any pics close at hand that will be much help but they look real good when the loose 2.5 to 3". Real common with the custom guys when I was a kid.

print the picture and cut it with scissors. Old school.

If you put some 2" tape on the posts you can then cut the photo in scale to get an idea of how it will look.

If you want to make it a 2 door get a set of 2-door doors and door jambs, you'll save a bunch of time and it will be easier too.

what ever you do dont tilt the back window dont try to use it unless you sink it, other wise use plexi or get a donor back window from some other car

if your going to do it do it right. it takes more time but its worth it in the end, make it a 2 door! you can do this by getting your hands on a set of 2 door doors, or by extending the existing front door (that takes more time and kinda sucks, but it will look alot better then it being a 4 door) it looks like you'v done some work on this car already, and it looks good, so just spend a little more time and make it the something that is bad ass instead of somthing that is kinda cool. Also if your going to chop that car i would suggest not using the original back glass. i'v seen 53/54 ford with 49/50 rear glass and it looks way better. But this is just my two cents. if you need to look at some people that have made 4 doors into two doors you can do a simple search on this thing and find a couple of threads. -good luck

ive thought about making ita two dr also getting rid of the post and molding in the top of the drs no drip rail i wanna run bubble skirts and i dont tinnk they will fit the 4 dr to long so i might have to or fab skirts but i was planing to use a 49 ford rear window

  19. That would look really cool chopped. I wander what it would look like if you left it a 4 door and hardtoped it at the same time. Long and low...just a thought.
