History Looking for info on March 54 Hot Rod cover car and trailer

Anyone have any info on the car and trailer in this pic? I know the car was on the cover of hot rod in march of 54. The guy in the pic is the uncle of a friend of mine. His dad supposedly built these trailers and he was looking for more info on them.
