now get your mind out of the gutter, im talking about upholstery here; chrome, woodwork, hidden cabinetry, anything like that. Mines clean the way it sits, its just blue tuck &roll side panels, carpet, and chrome corner panels, but i wanna do something different.I got some ideas, just looking for more, and thought what better place to see some custom interioirs

I don't have many post here but been lurking alot, but I am just starting on my 53 sedan delivery, but for the back I was thinking of moving the fuel tank and putting in a station wagon third seat just in front of the rear door, one that sits flush with the floor so it would be actually hidden when not in use, but when you just start a new project you get a million ideas so what I end up with I can't say for sure

I'm putting in an oak floor like in the PU beds.
I intend to hindge it so that it can be raised to get the spare tire out.
The sides and liner are TBD. In hte front I am going to use the 2006 Caddy buckets I have. Gotta be comfortable!

    I DON"T THINK SO!!

The average water bed takes 187 gallons of water to fill,,,add to that water weighs in at 8.34 lbs a gallon,,

    That's a total of 1,559.58 lbs,,,a tad heavy for a sedan delivery! HRP

  7. Planning on doing it in phases (i.e. doing stuff as money comes in)...for now I am going to dye the upholstery that is in there and on the panels in the back I am going to let a couple of pinstripers do what they want on there until I can afford a complete interior...FatLuckys? Martinez? Savin' nickels and dimes and aluminum cans in the meantime...my sedan delivery project is a 54 plymouth wagon so it actually has a tailgate and not a typical sedan delivery door but I really wanted that sedan delivery look and I had this wagon so...

I just pulled the interior out of my 57 chevy delivery a couple years ago.
I must say that the "huggy bear imitation pimp fur" held up extremely
well for over 30 yrs. with only slight fading near the back window. The
JC Whitney headliner didn't fare as well though.

I have the most novel idea for my '47. I'm going to leave the funky plywood floor in it and the crummy vinyl wall panels and use it for a shop truck. So I can just trow crap in and drag it out without having to be prissy about keepin' things clean and pretty. Cause I've "been there, done that, got the T-shirt, and completely wore it out".

The fella I got my second 56 Sedan Delivery from was a cabinet maker. The ENTIRE rear was done in OAK, almost a big box. It must have weighed 800 lbs. I took it all out. There's a 56 Sedan Delivery on that auction site right now we all know and love; someone added a rear seat to it, I've seen that done many times. But, this person used a 9 passenger wagon rear seat, and the small side tilts forward for access into the back so you don't have to crawl over the seat. Pretty cool, but you loose the "secret" compartment when you add a seat. Butch/56sedandelivery.

  15. Mine was too small for much. Aluminum tubs, roll cage and a fuel cell.
Sold it before I got to the upholstery stage.

Oilslinger, what did you ever decide on, this is where i am at on my sedan delivery and was kinda wondering what everyone else was doing

Lets bring this back up to the top and lets see some pics guys (oilslinger this means u too)

so far in mine, ive added a rear seat from an 80's full size blazer (so i could haul around the kiddies and so it will fold up againsdrivers/passengers seat so i can still haul stuff)

ill do some pics here in a day or so when i get things perfected and presentable
