work nicely as valve cover breather stand offs and will now once sealed eliminate the oil shadow that creeps out across the fins. A little more step down and some polish but you get the fitment. Came by a set of Pontiac M/T valve covers and could not bring myself to drill or tap or f the vcs up in any fashion as in adding the 90 degree breathers or other. Since ****ster introduced this oil breather tube I have thought they would look nice as valve cover stand offs. The better reason for the stand-offs. The last year that the MAR drag strip was open here a friend with a 67 Camaro made it to the 2nd to final round one night. Going thru the top end on the p*** when he let off, the engine stuck wide open. wtf?!?! starts on the brakes, turns off the ignition and the slicks grabbed and wow hang on he is now going backwards in the next lane staring at another buddy thru the windshield of his 65 Malibu. Hey Hi!!! How you doing? He is steering quite nicely I might add and neither of them freaked out but eventually Lance is off backwards at speed into the gr*** and mud. FUNNY!!! He did win so its back to the pits to clean the mud and gr*** that had embedded between the slicks and rims. Popping the hood to find the problem? The breather had blown off of the valve cover, lodging between the carb linkage and intake manifold locking him wide open. yeah freak stuff. Now everyone is running standoffs or have since drilled and tapped the valve cover breathers with U shape hold downs.
