I've seen both yes. The aussie's usually have the visors, I think they were pretty rare here. The skirts show up on the egay with relative regularity. Start haunting or fab some custom ones.

If you wind up ordering something from Australia, let me me know.
I will share shipping costs with you.

I have always wanted a sun visor for my 63 Fairlane 500

I fumbled around looking for these items for quite a while, too and always ended up with "this guys makes them all!", too. He does SELL them.
And if you want (1) for yourself, this is an easy way to get them.
The compeny, Autocables.com.au, is a dealer for the guy who makes those, yes.

He has been around for a long time, so should be a good bet if you want (1).
That's a good place to order from and he has sourced pretty much all the "odd" (to us here) Aussie - only accessories, to resell.

He does not make any of 'em - when I spoke to him 2 years ago (on the hunt for the manufacturer of 3 different Aussie accessories from the 1950s, STILL being made today), he had no problem letting me think he was the manufacturer. Frustrating, and a waste of time for me.

He even made me "wholesale" prices, which I could not understand why he only could take off 10%!
    He kept saying "my factory".
I was trying to find these to resell as a dealer in the US, so my attempts to deal with this guy were a dead end.

He never even would admit, on the products I asked about, that he wasn't the maker and would not be the one to get the best deal from. Funny. Was so afraid, maybe that I'd find the manufacturers and sell them, too. I couldn't figure it out (since I was in the USA), but then I was told that he sells on ebay IN the USA. A-haaaa.

I don't blame him, I suppose. So I found the gys majking all the stuff. Took time. But buy for yourself from him, he is legit.

He can sell the outside visors in mesh aluminum and solid metal (to my knowledge 2 different suppliers make these, 1 makes each type),
    ~Venetians
(again - not the cheapest, as he buys FROM the manufacturer, , whom I now know - but he gets them, and unless you are wanting to resell like I did...fine option).
They are something like $275. (solid metal) or $150.? (mesh metal) plus postage to the US, (which on the sunvisors is a good bit of $).

...and fender skirts. (Which may or may not fit right onto the wheel openings of a U.S. Falcon, of corresponding year).

FENDER SKIRTS = Not too hard to find.
Big Jim's Fender Skirts in TX is the place if you just want repro. fender skirts. They also have NOS Foxcrafts depending on when you ask, and for what car. I think they buy the original stuff to resell when they can, too.

Look at this page, and scroll down.

There is a picture of each Aussie version of the Falcon, down the right side.

The earliest 2 (and farther down, a green UTE), have visors on them.
So you can see both a "mesh" one, and a "solid" one.

PM me - I might be ordering some, after the first of 2010?

Got a pair of skirts with my 63 ranchero project. It's getting radius wheelwells, so they went on EEEE***y. There was a bidding war like it was the only pair left on the planet. Best of luck in your search.

I've seen the venetians offered on ebay by the guy in Australia, but he never specifies if they'll fit a US made round body Falcon/Comet. I'd like some venetians for my 63 Comet wagon, but I read where that the first generation Australian Falcon wagons were built with shorter back ends.

The wikipedia entry - "The station wagon, added to the range in November 1960, was shortened at the rear due to concern that the back of the car might scrape on rough roads and spoon drains."

So I'd like to know if those venetians would be too short to fit a US-made Falcon/Comet wagon. Or if someone could just measure a set of these venetians we'd have that to compare with our cars.

I might also be up for combining shipping on a visor if the seller would do that, but then there would be the cost to repackage and re-ship the visors to each buyer's address.

Search the HAMB ads. Someone was very recently selling a pair of stainless skirts.

  17. Try Kalifornia Fender Skirts. They used to be in Dinuba, Ca. I bought a fiberglass set for my 62 two door wagon quite a few years back. I think I still see those guys at swap meets once & a while. The Turlock & Pleasanton swap meets. They fit pretty good. I can't find any pics of my car with the skirts on. Maybe even try JC Whitney. I used to see them in their catalog.
