so, fellas....and ladys ..I just drove my car for the first time. this is my first car I ever owned. I got the car my sophomore year of high skoo..tore it apart, left her neglected for several years as I lost intrest went to college and not i finally have started to give her the time she deserved. Its a '63 falcon rag top (I will try and post pics and mabey some vidya tomorrow..or later today..im beat). All you guys know the feeling I am fixin to describe but its so freakin kool to actually see and feel this thing work. Its such a gratifying feeling to sit behind the wheel and cruise even if its just around the block. well I felt I should share it here first so there it is.........more to come later!
you should have kept working on the car. judging from the spelling, college wasn't fair to the falcon......
Good job , NOW get some rest, Its starting to effect your thinking and typing skills, Also use spell check ,it helps when your tired and overlook the small things
What a wonderfully thought out and properly punctuated and capitalized response, Mr. Linkin. Do you live in a gl*** house by any chance? squash - Ignore the naysayers. Good work on getting the car running and enjoying that first drive. I had a '62 Falcon and it was a good car. Keep on wrenching and post some pictures when you get a chance.
oldcarmike, as a matter of fact i do......now lighten up...it's only humor.i did my term with you guys ragging my ***....
here are what pics i got before my camera died.......and hot rod linkin mabey you should be a spelling teacher and I could learn from your greatness...
Josh?...that you?...Holy hell. Hood looks good...Tell Dad and Gramp Hi, give mom and gram a hug for me...Hope all is well, the car looks killer...
The louvered hood is a nice touch. Do you plan to paint it or leave it bare? Either way she looks *****en!
I picked up a 62 falcon not to long ago but recently sold it to BIGO here on the hamb. rad little cars. the first drive i took in that car ( the day i got it) was absolutely crazy, very little brakes, no tail lights, had to work like a mofo to keep it running, hardly any floors, wouldnt go into gear, and as if it wasnt bad enough....it was missing the steering wheel nut and the damn thing came off in my hand going down I-85! talk about a long 100 miles.....good times. anyway your car is way *****in post some more pictures
Breeder...thanks man, as far as the headlights Im not sure if they are legal but we are gonna give em a shot! all they can tell me is "pay up ****er!".........your avatar looks like a chinese three window larry!
Hey chris! yeah its me... and the fam says hey!!! well...does she meet your approval?....and if you ever get tired of mowing the yard just turn down your pipes!....neighbors love it! slayer... itll stay bare for a while but eventually see some form of kolor. jeremyjames...thats to crazy!!! when i first got the car it had no brakes and we drove it around here, this time I had no steering wheel nut so while my rides wernt as hairy as yours i feel your pain!
One of the most exciting times there is. I once built a circle track car with a home built pushrod brake pedal setup that misaligned on the first backroad thrash. I almost poked a hole thru the firewall with the pushrod out of it's m/c pocket trying to stab the brakes while coming upon a three way intersection. Of course, I had to see how fast I could go before trying the binders.
That looks fantasmic! Put pictures up of the inaugural roast when you get em. Oh and........don't expect that linkage to hold up!!! Is he joking?! IS HE JOKING?!
