Woohoo! I was just gonna search for it and start one.. you just made it Mike! :D

    Nice willys! 50shoe.

I got some work done on the f100..

This grill was made by cutting off the kit front fenders. I used the grill side halves and scrapped everything behind. Angled them and woolah!

that thing is looking so cool. I'm going to build something like that with the a partial 53 amt kit I have. you know, I'd never build it for real but I'd build it in plastic...

Thats the same philosophy i build by in scale!!! it all equals = imagination.

    More photos here.. http://public.fotki.com/73OldsOmega/models/1953-ford-f100-modified/

You can see how much i cut it up. I used the cowl vent as a reference point on where to cut.

Here's a mockup of my current project, a Model T body on a Model A chassis, also known as the T&A hot rod. :)

This is actually 1/16 scale using the Minicraft hot rod Model A kit and an Academy 1912 Model T kit though the wheels and tires come from a Minicraft stock Model A roadster kit. I Z'd the rear, suicided the front and narrowed and shortened the frame.

Way cool custom truck! It appears you grafted in the front clip from another model? Also, I assume with it lower that much there's not really any cargo space in the bed anymore? What is "The Gazette"?

Wish I had some time to build some plastic again. My dad was an AMT and a Revell grand champion in the 60's

In the 60's we would bring our finished models to the neighborhood hobby shop. The owner would put them in the store front window for all to see. That was about the extent of showing my models.

BiggMike, I'm not familiar with AMT and Revell grand championships. How about filling us in on the details. Pics would be great if you have any.

Man, I remember doing that. The toy store on the corner did that with a couple of my models as a kid. Made me proud to finish something.
    That's a time long gone I guess.
