Hello guys.... Wow I like your forum! A lot of information here.. I don't own a pre 60's vehicle but I have the interest. I do have a 69 Pontiac street/strip car with 464 Pontiac and 88mm turbo, custom stainless headers and exhaust.
I've always had a soft spot for nostalgic hot rods, equipment etc...

    Thanks,
Kristinn (my user name is my nickname here in Iceland)

I love the Pontiacs (even though my '69 wouldn't be considered HAMB friendly). I'm probably going to put a Pontiac 400 engine in '30 Model A Coupe that's waiting its turn in line.

So tell us a little bit about Iceland: What is the weather and geography like (not a big iceball I hope)? Where do you go to race? Also, what's the official language there? Do most speak Norwegian or Danish or some such?

    Welcome to the HAMB!

Thanks guys.. here's my album http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=3813

We speak Icelandic over here... There's no snow outside my house.. We have very mild weather all year around, not too hot over the summer and not too cold in the winter time... I live near the capital city Reykjavik. There’s a dragstrip here, it was built in the late 70's (not an old air strip, it was specially built for drag racing (1/4 mile track)).. There’s also a quite famous 4x4 offroad racing going on over here ( I think they call it formula off road ).. also some Rally cups, dirt track dudes and all sorts of motorsport activity but only around 300 thousand people that live here. The most recent flip here is the banking system and all their stupidity.. so we’re going through a big inflation right now. That’s killing the auto hobby right now.. Our currency stands very weak against the dollar and euro etc.
    Take care,
    KR
